Vinyl
Flooring
Vinyl
flooring is extremely popular
because of its affordability
and practicality. There are several
qualities, styles, colours, and
textures which allow it to fit
any size of budget. Vinyl is
the most recommended flooring
product for high moisture area
like bathrooms and kitchens.
There are two common types of
wear layers on vinyl:
PVC - This
is a basic vinyl wearlayer.
It is quite durable, but scuffs
easier than the urethane version.
This is only recommended for
installation in below average
traffic areas, as it is more
difficult to maintain.
Urethane -
This wearlayer protects your
floor from common scuffs, and
day to day wear. Vinyl floors
with this finish can be used
in even extreme traffic areas
depending on the thickness
of the wearlayer. There are
high gloss and a more natural
look urethane wear layers to
give both the durability and
look to fit every decor.
PVC and Urethane wearlayers
are applied to protect the
printed pattern from wear.
Obviously, the thicker the
wearlayer, the longer you will
enjoy the original appearance
of the pattern.
